My Homemade FHE Kits!

I actually completed this project back in April, but am now just finally getting around to sharing about it! This is a project that took me 2 years to accomplish. I had started working on it about the time Trevor and I got married. Mom had 2 FHE books that you could copy, print and color and make your own FHE kits. I did every FHE lesson in both books. At the very end, I realized that I didn't have to to every single one of them. HAHAHA. It never occurred to me that I didn't have to do every single lesson, but I'm glad I did. There are 62 kits. Each kit contains pictures, a lesson, activity, and a recipe for dessert. There was a lot of color, cut and pasting but it was worth it. Someday I'll have kiddos to share these with. (Sorry some of the pictures are sideways!)

It was a worthwhile project that I'm proud of.

I have a Harry Potter Monopoly Set, Do you?

Do you know, they don't make a Harry Potter Monopoly set?! Inconceivable! I know! Well, I remedied that. I decided I wanted a weekend project. So I went onto Etsy and purchased a pdf version of a homemade Harry Potter Monopoly set. I then printed it out on super nice paper. I did some cutting and got my cards all cut out. The best part was gluing on the board. I gotta say, it turned out pretty sweet. I even covered the monopoly box with a special cover that the printout came with! I gotta say, the final product is pretty freaking awesome!

Freezer Burritos

(This is a FB update from May) We did it!! Today Trevor and I made freezer burritos. We need something fast for those mornings where we don't have time for breakfasts or time to make a lunch. Our end result? 96 burritos, each costing less than $0.67. What's best, they are healthy and I know what's on them, even better ~ mine are low carb. WOOT!! I couldn't have done it without Trevor. We made breakfast burritos, chicken & quinoa burritos, and chicken fajita burritos. So excited, we bought our little chest freezer for this right here. wink emoticon

They turned out good, but I ended up not liking the low-carb tortillas. They gave it a bad taste. Trevor ate all his and helped me on mine. It was a good experiment and practice. It certainly helped for those early mornings when time was short and we couldn't get a lunch made before we had to both run out the door. We will be doing this again, but a little different. :)
